PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Please be aware that all our prices are in Australian dollars $AUD.
Australian customers: We accept Paypal which offers a secure way to pay by card. We use the Express Post service which guarantees next day delivery to metropolitan areas and gives some security. See our postage rates. For really heavy and/or bulky items, we would need to calculate costs. If you want your item insured, you will need to contact us in advance.
International customers: must use Paypal. Please contact us if you wish to purchase something. We can hold the item whilst we calculate shipping costs so you can choose your best option. If you would like your item insured you will need to notify us. Please also be advised that any customs charges incurred on arrival in destination country are to be incurred by the purchaser. Therefore it is advisable that the buyer checks their countries' customs requirements before purchasing.
We use Paypal as our credit card processor. It’s safe and secure, all you need is a valid credit card.

Please be aware that in choosing to buy something from our website, you are accepting our terms and conditions. So do make sure you read through them.
Because sizing is so variable in vintage and even new clothing, we will include measurements of all our garments. Please remember to measure yourself honestly, allowing room to breathe. There’s no point suffering for fashion. Much better to feel comfortable and relaxed. With vintage clothing we will include the fullest outside measurement for bust, waist and hips, with the garment lying flat. Sleeve measurements are taken on the outside, from natural shoulder to wrist. Dress length is shoulder to hem, pants are measured on the inner seam from crotch to hem. With men’s shirts we give the chest measurement, which is taken from armpit to armpit with the shirt lying flat. With other items we always include measurements. Photos can give an unreal perception of size, so please read the sizing. Feel free to contact us if you want further information.
We try to photograph everything as honestly as possible, but colours can vary from computer to computer. We check for flaws and will do our best to state anything obvious. It is occasionally possible to miss something, but it’s not in anyone’s interest to be dishonest. Our clothing is chosen to be worn and enjoyed. However remember that when the item is vintage it will usually have been worn before and is unlikely to be perfect. Remember any doubts, contact us first.
Here’s a clue to our definitions to make it easier for you:
Mint: means that the item is in mint condition with no indication that it was ever worn.
Very Good: these pieces have no obvious flaws, but may have signs that they were previously worn or laundered.
Good: tells you that we have found and noted a minor flaw or two that makes it less than pristine, but the item is still very wearable.
Fair: very occasionally, we may put a vintage piece up for sale that we feel is special enough as an example of it’s period, either in design or it’s fabric, to be worth something to a collector or designer, even though it shows real signs of damage. Items in this category are not for general wear.
Sometimes despite all our best efforts, the item just doesn’t fit. We will gladly accept returns on new clothing if you have the wrong size and replace with an alternate size where possible. However there is no exchange on vintage clothing so please measure yourself carefully. Just email us within 3 days of receipt of purchases and let us know the reason. If satisfied the reason is genuine we will send an acceptance email back in return. Obviously in the rare case that an item is faulty and this was not clear is our description, you can contact us. Returned items received within 14 days of this email will incur no re-stock fee. The only exception to this would be if the item is an overseas purchase (outside Australia), and in that case we will allow a further 7 days. Customers who exchange will receive a credit note valid for 6 months. (Credit is also valid in our real life shop "mrs peel" in Leura, Blue Mountains). Items must be returned to us in the condition in which they were received, with original packaging and with hangtags still attached, packed securely and insured. Postage and insurance is to be paid for by customer.
Please be aware that sale items cannot be returned.
Please note that we cannot accept returns if these conditions are not adhered to.
Shipping and handling on return merchandise is non-refundable.
